Gary Freas told VA Lottery officials he never expected to win the money when his wife scratched the Jumbo Cash ticket.
But that’s exactly what happened.
“It’s pretty unbelievable!” the Manassas man said.
He bought the ticket at the 7-Eleven at 8901 Godwin Drive in Manassas.
This is the second top prize claimed in the $300,000 Jumbo Cash game, which means one more top prize in that game remains unclaimed. The chances of winning the top prize are 1 in 816,000. The chances of winning any prize in this game are 1 in 3.79.
Freas said the winnings may go towards remodeling the house.
